I don't go to NH to purchase liquor because of the difference in sales tax from VT. I go there because the prices are SO much cheaper before tax. Last time I went, I checked the price of a 1.75 L bottle of Scotch in both places. Both states had it on sale, however, the NH sale price was $10 cheaper in NH - before tax. It was 33% higher in VT. Other product price differences are similar.
Was stopping here looking for a specific local beer for a friend . I’m from out of state so I wasn’t aware liquor and beer is sold separately because it isn’t where I am from . Well their “back room” is the backside of a shelf . There was no door to walk through and not being a local I wasn’t familiar with the store setup , got confused for a second walking and realized it was their stock room so went to quickly leave when I saw an employee. I politely asked “ do you work here “ hoping she could help find the drink my friend wanted . She answered with a rude attitude “yea I hope so since were standing in the back room “ . Well with her unfriendly attitude I promptly left the store . It was an honest mistake and there were no signs and like I said no doors . I would never give a business like this the time of day if they’re going to treat their customers like this .
